Dr. Narelle Carr
Dentist
Dr Carr graduated BDS (Honours) in 1987 from Sydney University. She has worked at Westmead and Sydney CBD and suburbs before embarking on her adventure: working in NT Indigenous communities and the town of Tennant Creek.
Dr Carr has worked in the Nelson Bay region since 2005. Her interests in dentistry gravitate towards rehabilitation of the worn dentition.
Outside dentistry, Narelle says she may not be very fast, but she’ll never stop her jogging, cycling and bushwalking to fill out her time. Travel has always been on her wish list — maybe one day.
Dr Carr is participating providers in the ‘More For Teeth’ Program (HCF)
Holly Picot-Walker
Oral Health Therapist
Holly’s interest in the dental industry first began when she underwent orthodontic treatment as a teenager. As much as she disliked the idea of having braces, she found the process of straightening teeth fascinating. From there she has worked in the industry since 2010, and has since completed a Bachelor’s degree in Oral Health Therapy!
Holly’s passion is educating her patients how they can better care for their oral health to prevent the need for restorative dental treatment or tooth loss. She is great with anxious patients because, believe it or not, she is scared of the dentist herself… shhhh!
Outside of dentistry Holly enjoys being outdoors, whether it’s walking, jogging, swimming or just relaxing on the beach. She also enjoys adventurous overseas travel and hopes to one day take her profession to Africa to support local communities.
